The Not So Only Child Goes to School_CLIP30

Welcome to show# 30 of the CLIP Podcast. Today I have for you the second half of a conversation with Heather Jopling author of wonderful books on same sex parents and alternative lifestyles, specifically Ryan’s Mom is Tall, Monicka’s Papa is Tall, and The Not So Only Child. Today my conversation with Heather focuses on getting these books into the classroom and creating a dialogue regarding the issues raised in the books.

One of the topics Heather and I talked about had to do with children’s books and educational settings, specifically, the classroom. In this first segment Heather shares insights on why books like The Not So Only Child belong in the classroom.

In this final segment Heather talks specifically about The Not So Only Child. What I like most about her comments is the perspective on diversity from which she speaks.

Thank You Heather!
