 HUGE NEWS!

The AndyCast is heading to the Portable Media conference in Nov. in Ontario CA. WOO HOO! An extremely gracious investor is underwriting the cost of the trip.

I am extremely excited. I am really enjoying podcasting and I can see this turning into a serious hobby. Hopefully, I can get some funding for better equipment to improve the quality of the show. Stay tuned on that front!

AndyCast_005 will begin preproduction this week and I truly expect something available Friday so folks in the US & Canada can enjoy the AndyCast over the Labor(Labour) Day weekend.

Ok…andyCast 004 is out in the wild. It was a quicky and recorded in real time on the roof of my office building. It took about 2 hours from writing to recording. It was a hoot. I think you’ll really enjoy it! The recording is quite good. I used Audio Hijack to do the recording and then did the final mix down in Garage Band, then export to iTunes and convert to MP3 in iTunes.
It sounds like more work than it really is.

AndyCast_004 is nearly completed. All the writing is done, just need some time to record and mix it. I am hoping to get it out tomorrow. That’s the goal anyway. I want to create some promos that I can hawk around for other podcasters…."I’ll play yours if you play mine!"…Sounds so school yardish…doesn’t it.

I tried to listen to the show on my iPod and the voice levels were very low. I re-mixed it and it should be better. I’ll listen to the show when I get home.

I’ve started writing AndyCast_004. I’m looking to debut a couple new segments “Granny’s Garden” and “Dude in the Street”. We’ll see how that goes….

I’m not 100% sure when it’ll be released but I expect by mid-week is reasonable.

In the Fall, I should be on a better production schedule and it looks like Thursday releases will be the norm.

Please bear with me as I work through the growing pains.

I’m completely excited…there have been 2 listeners….that’s right 2 people aside from me and anyone who knows me…My only wish is that people would leave a note so I know who they are.

You never know….when I get famous, I’ll have documented proof that you can say ” I was listener #1″…well…actually I know exactly who listener #1 was.
